Meet Allie
I’m Alessandra but I go by Allie! I’m a queer artist, self-employed Motion Graphics Designer/Animator and now working on Hearts of Growth comics whenever I have the energy to share parts of my brain and heart. I get my inspiration from life experiences, observations and my passion to create change. I love being outdoors, interactions with people, and a good chai latte!
About Hearts of Growth
So glad you’re here!
Hearts of Growth began from a little doodle I drew for myself when I was experiencing debilitating OCD intrusive thoughts back in early 2020 during lockdown and got to see what it's like to be in a very poor frame of mind. This little doodle of the heart giving strength to the brain gave me strength to carry on. Creating art and journaling became a healthy coping tool for my anxiety and understanding myself(as well the love from my support system). One day, I decided to share my doodles on Instagram and I saw how it brought connection and community to others too. This warmed my heart and it motivated me to keep sharing my art as a way to give back to community. I later became a Mental Health First Aider as I'm passionate about Mental Health and also understand the struggle with living with what feels like an invisible disorder.
When I began my OCD recovery and inner work, I struggled to find resources that were easy to digest, engaging, and motivating—especially because I find clinical text and long paragraphs overwhelming. Knowing there were others out there who felt the same, I decided to create resources that are creative, clear, and easy to connect with—because I truly believe mental health support shouldn’t feel like reading a textbook.
I break down complex ideas into simple, digestible parts, and I design each workbook and printable to be visually appealing and full of heart. Whether it’s through relatable doodles, gentle language, or thoughtful layouts, I want the experience to feel approachable, comforting, and even a little bit fun.
Each resource is available in printable and fillable versions so you can use them however feels best for you. Whether you're a professional or loved one supporting others or someone simply trying to care for your own mental well-being, these tools are here to support you, one small step at a time.
I hope you find something here that really resonates with you!
